Just wanted to send a huge Congratulations to fellow Brisbane designer, Lauren Carney, whose illustration has been chosen for the Finders Keepers Market art competition! I really admire her unique, clever style and creativity and I'm glad to see that the art is receiving the audience it deserves :D
Welcome to Jessie's world of handmade, quirky and fun accessories! I use recycled materials to create colourful felt hair-clips and brooches. I have a range of iphone covers, greeting cards - printed on 100% recycled paper- and some sweet button earrings. Visit my stall at the Southbank Young Designer's Markets. I'm also a very proud member of BrisStyle. Check out my online Etsy store or browse my blog below for inspiring bits and pieces! I write about food too - look out for the Jessiedex!

Let's get cracking!! *no pun intended* (hehe)
Hello there!
I'm back and into the swing of things again after the weekend away.... So much to do and so little time! Do you ever get that feeling? I feel like I'm rushing to get the next thing completed on my to do list!
A big note to check off in my book is: I bought new material today for table cloths for my stall! It's all part of the revamp that the Southbank Markets are promoting to really freshen up the stalls. I like the idea and am behind it all the way! I can't wait to show them off. The fabric is a really nice, thick, dark blue weave. You'll have to come down and check it out!
I have some new goodies that I've made for this weekend. See them below!
Colourful owls from psychedelic world! :P
In other news, Morena who own Stop Sixteen (where I have some products for sale) had her baby! A boy called Archer. Congratulations Morena and Myles :)
Below is my display there. Have you been to take a look yet and have a yummy coffee and cake? The lemon yoghurt cake is gorgeous!
Ciao for now. Its my bed time! x

A break this weekend
Hello peeps
Just letting you know that GBC won't be at this weekend's (12-13th) markets as I have a wedding to attend! But I will be back the following weekend with more lovely goodies to share!
Something new and exciting.. I have decided on a new tattoo for me! It's going to be buttons (how unusual for me!)... 3 of them on the inside of my left forearm. I have chosen 3 of my favourite buttons from my Gran's collection. I'll post a photo when I've got it... I'll be heading to Byron Bay for the inking as I know of a great tattoo artist who has a shop there.
On a side note..
I'm listening to my ipod through itunes and it has decided to play its own list all by itself.. weird! It has gone from Adele to Ani di Franco to House of Pain! hahahaha Random hasn't been selected.... oh well!
I hope you have a lovely weekend full of lots of lovely things to do and see
