Welcome to Jessie's world of handmade, quirky and fun accessories! I use recycled materials to create colourful felt hair-clips and brooches. I have a range of iphone covers, greeting cards - printed on 100% recycled paper- and some sweet button earrings. Visit my stall at the Southbank Young Designer's Markets. I'm also a very proud member of BrisStyle. Check out my online Etsy store or browse my blog below for inspiring bits and pieces! I write about food too - look out for the Jessiedex!

Debut
Good Boy Cracky will be making its debut this friday at the Southbank Markets. Very exciting! I hope my business cards come today so I can prepare the hair clips and earrings! I also have to finish the clutch bags! Go go Gadget!
Taryn Simon
Check out Taryn Simon. Appearing on a TED talk she is an amazing photographer and I am going to try and see her at IMA! Blurb below is from the TED site:
Taryn Simon exhibits her startling take on photography -- to reveal worlds and people we would never see otherwise. She shares two projects: one documents otherworldly locations typically kept secret from the public, the other involves haunting portraits of men convicted for crimes they did not commit.

Quirky Tavi..
Tavi Gevinson is a quirky 13 year old who's blog has generated a major buzz amongst the fashion world. She writes her own views about current trends and is surprisingly articulate and mature for such a young girl! She was invited to NY fashion week this year (jealous!) and is currently finishing reviews of some of the designer's work. Check out the video of her dancing.... interesting! Oh, but what a future she's going to have...!
Inspiring me today....

Suitcase Gold mine!
I found some fabulous props for the stall set up! One is from an op shop (small blue one) and Dawnie (Sam's mum) gave me her old ones from her travels! They will be in the pride of place displaying my wares at the markets :D Cracky was very happy with my finds! What a good boy!

Progress on the logo front :)
Yay! This morning, my sister and I were brainstorming for the business card design and logo and we came up with some creative and innovative ideas. I'm very excited about finishing the final draft and then it going on to print. It's going to be awesome! Stay tuned...
This afternoon I am cutting out patterns for some clutch bags and while I'm working, I'm watching America's next top model!! It's so bad, but so good at the same time! Guilty pleasure! :P

Iphone cases
A sample of iphone cases I've been working on. I've found some great new material, so images of the new colours/patterns will be posted shortly!
Target acquired!
Hello there and welcome to Good Boy Cracky! I am thrilled to announce that all systems are go for my label, with a predicted start at weekend markets on the 2nd October! I am waiting on application approval from the Southbank Markets, so stay tuned for the official news!
So a little about me... I am a florist that has recently been swept up into the creative and fun world of sewing and craft world. Towards the start of this year, I was creating hair clips made from felt (for myself initially). I got a lot of great responses from friends and family wanting some of their own. From this, my brain started to tick over about getting more serious about selling my wares. I was not creatively satisfied with floristry during this time and my instincts were pulling me in the direction of all things textile! It has been a big decision to move away from the flower industry, but I have decided to "follow my bliss" for the time being and see where this path will take me! C'est le moment ou jamais!
From the hair clips stemmed the idea of making iphone cases (as some that are available in the shops lack a little personality), earrings and cute lil' clutch bags! I'm also designing bracelets and brooches.
I am getting used to doing a blog and will hopefully manage to upload some images in this post!
Good Boy Cracky is designed for those who seek unique, fun and quirky accessories largely made from recycled materials (including tea towels, buttons and pillow cases). I hope you enjoy them and please, stop by again soon! :p
