Wow! Wow! Wow!

It's been a busy few days!
I helped Rogue Cosie guerilla, Patrice, install her AMAZING creations on the Goodwill Bridge on Monday night. It was so much fun! It's for the Council's "I knit Brisbane" project where crafters were asked to cover certain statues/monuments around the city with knitted or crocheted work. It's to celebrate winter and is also part of the Saviour of the Lost arts initiative. So much hard work was put into these pieces. Patrice, you are amazing and so talented!!!

Me sewing the finals touches :) I was so glad to help!

AND...

What a massive day it was at the Saviour of the Lost Arts Markets in King George Square on tuesday! SO may people came down to check them out :) yay! Thank you! It was a lovely day meeting new people, drinking coffee (from the tea garden) and selling our crafty wares!

Ready to start the day! :)

**there is no commission on items sold, when an item is sold the artist receives 100% of the retail price!!**
  • in.cube8r® has been created to support all things craft, art and hand-made.
  • we are open to anyone interested in being represented australia wide.
  • this is the one-stop-shop for all gift, accessory and self-embellishments.
  • the range of styles and applications is second to none on the one gallery floor.
  • in.cube8r® runs like a long term market, this gives it’s artists and hand crafters the power over display and price.
the gallery is divided up into glass cubicles, shelves, racks and partitions which artists can lease for a small cost, from as little as $22 per week over a 3 month period
come and get in.cube8ted!!" (Sourced from Incube8r website (www.incube8r.com.au)

Tea and roller action, baby!

I had a great time yesterday attending the Religion of Fashion Tea Party at the Stamford Plaza. It was an afternoon of tea and cupcakes and seeing great fashion from emerging designers. The location was beautiful also, down by the river near the story bridge. Congratulations to Zoie and her team for putting together a lovely afternoon!

After the civilised tea party, I went to the Roller Derby at the Convention Centre! I saw the Diner Might Dolls take on the Love Rockettes. It was awesome to watch!! I want to get into skating now!

Photo courtesy of Hungry Designs who had a stall at the bout. Very cool stuff indeedy!

On a side note, I have some new market news! I will have a stall at the Saviour of the Lost Arts Fair held by Brisbane City Council on June 1st. There are also many workshops being organised throughout the week, so check out the above link for more info.

And... Don't forget the Young Designer's Market is on Sunday 6th June, so come one, come all! ;P
